Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Backup Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in backup implementation, specifically with expertise in Commvault, TSM, Veeam, Acronics, HP Protector, Netbackup, Netapp, and other backup technologies. As a Backup Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining backup solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and configure backup solutions using a variety of technologies such as Commvault, TSM, Veeam, Acronics, HP Protector, Netbackup, Netapp, etc.
2. Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and understand their backup needs.
3. Perform backup infrastructure installations, upgrades, and patches.
4. Monitor and manage backup environments to ensure optimal performance and availability.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve backup issues, including backup failures, performance bottlenecks, and data restoration.
6. Conduct backup system testing and validation to ensure data recoverability.
7. Develop and maintain backup documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and recovery plans.
8. Provide technical support and assistance to clients and internal teams for backup-related inquiries and issues.
9. Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in backup technologies.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in backup implementation.
2. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with backup technologies such as Commvault, TSM, Veeam, Acronics, HP Protector, Netbackup, Netapp, etc.
3. Familiarity with backup infrastructure components, including servers, storage devices, and network connectivity.
4. Proficiency in backup system administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
5. Experience in backup system performance optimization and capacity planning.
6. Good understanding of backup methodologies, including full, incremental, and differential backups.
7. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve backup-related issues.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.

• Knowledge on CAMPUS LAN Architecture and implementation

• Having exposure to Cisco’s latest technologies like SDA, DNAC

• Hand-on experience on designing and implementing Cisco SDA

• Strong Routing & Switching, Cisco SDA, DNAC, Cisco ISE skillset is a must.

• Hands On expertise on Cisco Prime, ISE, Cisco Meraki

• Hands on and troubleshooting SDA

• Experience on L 3

Stakeholder Management

• Develop a platform/strategy wherein stakeholders (Ops, Compliance, Policy, Risk and Controls, Internal Audit etc.) come together and discuss KPIs relating to the quality of output.
• Build relationships across various verticals of the process and create an environment of open discussion/innovation
• Discuss and document the needs of local and Global management teams and accordingly establish a framework to achieve results
• Design and implement team engagement framework

Continuous improvement program

• Proactively review metrics and KPIs to identify emerging trends and Opportunities for Improvement
• Conduct root cause analysis on past data and isolate any recurring trends
• Devise a Plan for continuous improvement in the quality of reviewers through Huddles/Training as appropriate.

Process Framework Management

• Take complete ownership of the process framework 
• Participate in change controls forums and tracks the Policy/Process changes and their impact on the Operations team
